Will-

the BV 2001 Zin has been released - I got some from their Wine Society.

Tasting notes from web site:

"Dark ruby color. Wonderfully bright, rich berry-pepper aromas show superb
ripeness with balanced jammy notes. The flavors are rich, concentrated and
laced with black pepper, licorice and blackberry notes. This vintages texture
is remarkably juicy, though balanced by ripe tannins and elegant acidity. Firm
yet round, this is a classic Napa Valley Zinfandel thats delicious now, but
will age for 4-5 years. "

Also release is the 2001 Signet Zin - retail $30.
"Nearly opaque black violet-ruby color. Extremely aromatic. Cocoa-vanilla, ripe
blackberry, coffee and dark chocolate aromas prevail. This is an intensely
flavorful, balanced Zinfandel. Full-bodied, it shows a berry essence with hints
of anise, combined with powerful, rich flavors. The tannins are ripe, the
flavor solid and deep. A beautifully structured wine. This is a concentrated
wine with a lot of finesse and can be aged for 3-4 years."

Mmmmmm.
