Thanks for the compliment :-) Rule number 1: Taste in wine is a very individual thing.
That being said, I would recommend the following if you're interested in wine at all as a beverage, not just to collect or store, but for general drinking purposes, too: Go to a store (grocery store, wine store, COSTCO) and buy several different kinds of wine; whites, reds, rose', buy different types of each, sauvignon blancs and chardonnays, zinfandels and cabs. Then drink them (not all at the same time, but that can be fun too). If you find something you like, write it down. then concentrate on that particular type of wine for awhile. Branch out from there using the recommendations of others tempered with your own experience. Good place to start for summer wines: Sauvignon Blanc: (lots of places grow it, tends to be sweet with a hint of green apples or lemons) Currently in my cellar I have 2001s from Robert Karl (10.99), Matthews Cellars (15.99-21.99 depending on where/when you buy it), though you can pretty much bet that any bottle you pick up in the $10 range is going to be worthwhile. Serve slightly chilled. enjoy :-) will ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kevin Graeme" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 12:01 PM Subject: RE: Assimilated > Ben and Will, you need to post a semi-annual wine list to the list.
