Ah, well then, I'd say stick to the ~$10 - $15 region and you should be
fine. :-)

"Drinkable" and "pleasant" white wines: Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot
Grigio (same grape but Italian)

All very light and fruity, good for a hot day.
Generally the winery doesn't matter, pick something up and try it.

If you can find the Matthews (Woodinville, WA) Sauvignon Blanc I recommend
it highly. Gargiulo Vinyards(Oakville,CA) Pinot Grigio 2001 ($17.99), is
also one I recently picked up. I'll have a look in my DB and let you know
some others... I know I keep referring to whites, do you have a preference?
