Well at least they admit it.

And there's no reason why optimisation paths should differ if both ATI
and NVIDIA adhere to the DX9 Shader specifications, which ATI seems to
do.

Gabe also mentioned the pending .50 detonater drivers and said he didn't
think they would make much of a difference, but took a wait and see.
