What's your technical standpoint? That the Jews were responsible for Jesus's
death? That's exactly the revisionist history that the Pope has said wasn't
true.

Now I don't claim to know what was true or not. Hell, we can't even seem to
figure out if it's true that Bush lied or if Iraq had WMD, so how the hell
are we going to know about something from 2 millenia ago? But the people who
study this seem to say that the jews probably didn't have a hand in it.

And at this point, pointing fingers isn't going to make anything better.
It's only going to incite more anger. So why would anyone willingly choose
to ignore current historical evidence and instead try to fuel the flames of
hatred? Seems pretty un-Christian and hate-filled to me.

"responsible" for Jesus's death, who himself was a Jew, who also had Jewish
followers.  But utimately it was the Romans who handed down the sentence.
Me thinks, from a political standpoint, that if Jesus were allowed to
continue his preaching and gain power, the Romans/High Priests will not want
that.

have been persecuted and hated throughout history, so they dont really care
who killed Jesus.  They hate Jews anyways
