How do you know that being in that state isn't some sort of nirvana for
the person?


How do you know that you aren't floating around outside your body having
the time of your life in that state?

Interesting. So, opening your eyes when someone asks you to is

reflexive? (That's what she did in that one video, though maybe you'd

issue with whether or not she was really responding or if it just
happened
to be a timing coincidence or some sort of instinctual reaction to the
sound
of a voice.)

I'm just sort of pondering this. I've always said I wouldn't want to be
kept
alive in a vegetative state (and I still think that's true). But, now
I'm
just wondering if I should be more specific about what I mean. (And,
yes, I
should probably put together a living will.)
