Dear @AndersMS In your proposed change 10, you used the word "uncompressed", and "compression" is in the title of this proposal. I think it would be clear to speak of a "compressed dimension" of the tie point variable corresponding to an "uncompressed dimension" of the data variable, or perhaps an "expanded dimension", with the other dimensions being non-interpolation/non-interpolated.
