CFMX also comes in two flavors: Server and "for J2EE" editions. And CFMX for J2EE is a Sun "J2EE Verified" certified J2EE application itself.
I think copying *.cfm files is an acceptable and familiar task to J2EE app server administrators and would probably not be considered overly complex. If customers tell us they want to create a zip or war file our of CFMX Runtime+their app, I think we could do that pretty easily. We've heard it mostly from New Atlanta in threads like these. Installing any application to the "/" context can involve special consideration for the administrator, and is not specific to CFMX, but dDeploying CFMX onto a full JRun J2EE server, including to context root "/" will get much easier shortly. The biggest problem is some J2EE app servers already come with a pre-deployed app at "/" context root, etc, and in JRun's case, the "default app" needs to be moved out of the way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=4 FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
