On that i've been in a few interviews where the folks doing it basically have no idea what they are asking and have been handed the "Questions by someone who did".
ie my Interview at TQ was funny, they asked something like: "Do you have any experience with SQL and can you give an example" By this stage i pretty much knew that the two interviewing me probably thought SQL was this new "internet language"... so i said something like: "Yeah i've had 5 years experience with it, mostly intergrating Oracle Views into SQL Cache lookups, by accessing a common gateway throughput code cycles, commonly referred to as XML Dumps..." (you're all probably going wtf is a 'throughput code cycles' by now and to answer.. i have no idea, its made up engrish). *Glazed over looks* *tick against my name because i won Buzz word bingo*. That being said not all go like that. 3.5 years is probably not really worthwhile, especially since CFMX 6.0 changed the rules quite heavily. I'd be more concerned with how much OO exposure an employee has, mainly java i guess but in truth more to do with how they understand OO...
