It depends.  Are you in love with the color; has the suspension and brake system been done;  was it ever hit, was there corrosion on the body or frame before they "did" the body; and do you have an extra $2,500 to $5,000 to do the motor and trannie (including that scatter shield, of course)?   If you like the answers to those questions, then its a good deal.     ----- Original Message ----- From: Craig & Cerena Robertson To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, January 16, 2002 8:12 AM Subject: [Chevelle-List] Should I buy I'm stuck.  A friend of mine wants to sell a 68 Chevelle SS.  The body and everything was just redone.  New paint etc.  It needs an engine and transmission, it's a 4 speed.  The only think I don't like about it, is the hood, which has a six inch rise in it and the interior, in which they put a red velvet strip in the center of the seats.  He'll sell to me for $7,500.  Can anyone give me advise.  Is this a good deal or what. Thanks.    Craig
