When you say it needs an engine and trans,does that mean they are missing now? If so,that's not a very good deal,IMO. A decent big block/4spd combo would probably set you back around $5K. Now,you're up to $12,500 and still need to change the hood and interior to your liking. I'm sure you can find a decent '68 SS for $12,500 or less. I've been looking at 68-69 El Caminos and nice SS's can be bought easily for that amount.
