After 1968, The VIN number for Chevelles changed to all of them being malibus.  The SS's and Malibus are both 136 in 1969 and above.  But if you have a window sticker that states you have the Z25 option, well then, you have a true SS 396 chevelle.  That's one of then things I love about the coke style chevelles (66 and 67), all you have to do is look at the VIN which will tell you if its an SS or malibu.  But the good news is, u do have a true SS chevelle.  :-)   Chad ----- Original Message ----- From: Richard M.
