Hi
all.
I have
been MIA for a week; been a beach bum at Myrtle and loved every minute. Did you
miss me? Yeah, me too!
I'm confused! Is my 69 SS, a 13637 car not a true SS? I have
the window sticker with with the 6Z25AA option, for $347.60, that tells me that
it was SS equipped.
????????????

Subject: RE: [Chevelle-list] 69 SS stuffWell, it finally worked, I hope it shows up properly for ya'll.To my knowledge, this 5 digit code is the first 5 numbers of the VIN. The service manual also lists the 1969 model numbers for '69 Chevrolet, '69 Nova, '69 Camaro, & '69 Corvette. I highly recommend this manual for everyone. I have used the heck out of it.I hope this helps ya'll out. Again, maybe I'm reading this wrong, if so, please correct me. I'm trusting in the Chevrolet Manual for now, but I'm still open minded to any other inputs.Scott, Sorry to say that according to Chevy's manual, you car is the same as mine, a Malibu 2 Door Sport Coupe. Again, don't take this as the FINAL answer. If the guys/gals in here have further info, I'm sure they can add to this. As far as a theory to why it was sold as an SS, I'm stumped.SARGE
