you'll want to find out why it happened when you pull the pan look for any
metal. then with pump out spin motor [se if it spins] put the new oil pump
in and prime only way to see if you lucked out.

Well I found the cause of my dist gear brakage. My oil pump is almost
froze
up. I went to turn it befor putting in the new dist. And it is so hard to
turn and it seams to catch (Hard spots). this is a 454 I never had problem
befor in all my years dealing with chevys. Any input from any body would

great. I am going to pull the engine to chang it but if there is more I
