What the man told you are 4 bolt
mains is correct. You really don't need them for even a serious street
engine. However, I'd rather have my block only bored out +.030 (like the
stock rebuild), rather than the +.060 as per your "hi-performance"
rebuild. This way you can bored it one more time to get another serious
rebuild out of it. The difference in cubic inches gained going from .030
to .060 isn't worth that much horsepower. I'd rather have the option for
another rebuild in the future.....
