Thanks guys. I have time to think about the engine. The guy said he would really recommend the stock rebuild for the price. I am also not wild about .060 over. There's a question of heat there too as you make the walls thinner. I am not expecting to put so many miles on this engine that I would ever need to get a second rebuild out of it. I do have headers and HEI and I can certainly get a better manifold and carb.
Well, just make the engine guy ain't just like the guy that painted your Elky! I always
go with a GMPP crate motor & add stuff to it.
