exactly...none of us have a promise of tomorrow. It is totally unfair to
say that someone shouldn't have a certian number of dogs based soley on
their age!!! I see teenagers and young adults getting killed or dying
every day and I see elderly people in their 90's who are more energetic
and healthy than I am. Age alone should not be a factor. As long as a
person is taking proper care of their dogs, the dogs are well cared for,
well fed, healthy, ect...then quiet frankly it is no ones business how
many or at what age someone else chooses to have a dog! Now if the dogs
are not properly cared for, that is a different story and, imo, animal
abuse and neglect is everyone's business, but so long as properly cared
for, imo, no one else's business. For some elderly people, they have
outlived their friends, the kids are grown and gone, the grandkids never
visit, ect, their pets fill a void in their life.
