So you are thinking just totally train him for indoors vs. pee outside and poo on pads? Is that what you mean by confusing him?
I really don't have a problem with that. I wonder if the baby pool idea would work better than the puppy pad? He doesn't stay in one spot when he's going so I wonder if a puppy pad area is enough? Opinions on that? Does anyone have links to puppy pad training? I am going to need to figure out how to make the switch. This is quite different than growing up with labs, but I wouldn't trade my little guy for a lab now! I never thought I'd be a "small dog" person.
