I don't think Emiliano got confused about where to go.  He just learned that 
when I was home, it meant going outside, when I was gone it meant using the 
indoor pad and as I said, now that he's older and can hold it longer, mostly he 
just waits for me to get home..

on pads? Is that what you mean by confusing him? 

I really don't have a problem with that. I wonder if the baby pool idea would 
work better than the puppy pad? He doesn't stay in one spot when he's going so 
I wonder if a puppy pad area is enough? Opinions on that? 

Does anyone have links to puppy pad training? I am going to need to figure out 
how to make the switch. 

This is quite different than growing up with labs, but I wouldn't trade my 
little guy for a lab now! I never thought I'd be a "small dog" person. Funny 
how things change! :)
