As a baby, I started my little guy on a litter box. Then, on the days I was
going to be at home, I would take him out. When outside, he learned what "go
poop" meant and learned to go inside on his pad and outside when I was at home
and let him out. Now, he can hold it much longer and even when I am gone most
of the day, he rarely uses his pad, just waits until I get home. Yes, they are
very smart and learn what you teach them to do, just be consistant.

Thanks!

Do people reply to each post or to their original post? I will get the hang of
it.

So my little Moose went outside this AM so that was good.

It was cold, around 30 degrees this AM, but it was warmer than it was last
night. It will get much much colder too. We have many days with below zero.

I will have to invest in some warmer sweaters! Last night at one point it
seemed painful for him and I felt so bad! He is only out for like a minute!

I'm just going to see what he does and how he can tolerate it. Then I will have
to try the baby pool in the garage or puppy pads in the house.

For anyone who uses both puppy pads AND going outside - especially during
seasonal changes....can this work? I feel like it could. Moose already knows
what "go potty" is and is a pretty smart little fella.

Thanks for the welcome.

Jessica
