I use the adult pads that I buy at Sam's Club. They are bigger and cheaper than doggie pads. They cost 20cents a piece and they are about 2 ft x 3 ft. Sissy Girl pees on one end for a day then I turn it around and she pees in the same spot but on the clean end. She won't go to the other end on her own. She is stuck in her ways. So I get two days out of one pad. As they get more mature they will develop their own likes and dislikes of their potty business. Winters are very hard on chi's. We heat with wood. Sissy Girl crawls under the heater to stay warm. When she gets too hot, she will come out and walk a few feet away from the heater and flop down and roll over belly up. It is so funny. Her ears are red and so is her belly. When she cools back down, she will be back under the heater again. We feel her ears to see if she is getting cold. Cold ears means cold chihuahua ! LOL CRANK UP THE FIRE, THE BABY IS COLD is the joke around our house. On really cold mornings before the wood heater gets going really good, Sissy Girl wants to crawl inside my robe to stay warm. She paws at my stomach telling me to OPEN UP and LET ME IN WITH YOU MOMMY. I really like it cause I now have a 102 degree chi keeping me really warm too. Gotta love them! Jean
