I also skim read his essay on Hitler on jstor. It pretty much read like an 
apologia for Hitler. Interestingly he claims that Alan Bullock's ''Hitler: A 
Study in Tyranny'' directly refutes the notion that Hitler bullied Hacha when 
he met him in March 1939. Its been a while since I looked at Bullock but I am 
guess this is a fabrication, as every other work on the subject I have seen 
accepts that Hitler bullied Hacha into surrendering his nation.
