Pat Buchanan told me (as David Freeman caught in his review in *Finest Hour* 139), that his *Churchill, Hitler and the Unnecessary War* was in part inspired by Harry Elmer Barnes <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Elmer_Barnes>, not Francis Neilson, though there certainly is a familiarity of approach.
*Finest Hour* 51 also Neilson's eloquent *Churchill as Fraud, Fakir and Warmonger.* Readable if not perfect pdfs are easily accessed; you have only to Google "Finest Hour 51," and so on. But I don't think Neilson was quite the charmer Pat is <https://richardlangworth.com/buchanan>... ...and I must say, compared to the current crop of Churchill haters <http://bit.ly/2inHpku> infesting the media, Pat and Francis seem tame. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ChurchillChat" group.
