Hi Burkhard, This GPL translation was made some years ago by Basque Goverment translators (I would'nt like to translate any critical document, because I'm not a Lawyer, and as you wrote, it could very dangerous).
I'm agree with you, this GPL text should have a introduction underlaying that the authorative license it the English original, not translated one. Translated license only should be used to notify to users what GPL is talking about. So, right now, I added next lines at the begining of the license: "You won't find any official translation of GNU GPL into Basque at this page. The Basque translation is not, as well as other translations, any official version of GPL. The only official version is the English one and if you want to copyleft your programs, use the English version.The Basque translation is placed here in order to available to readers the possibility to get to know the licence in their mother's tongue. This licence is not valid in terms of law and it has got just informational character." Hope it fixes the 'bug' :) So please, delete previous GPL_eu.texi file.
