Still on the functionality issue, one thing that may or may not be easy to do, but would help a lot is to create shortcuts to toggle between the "copy and paste" and "drag and drop" editing modes.
How about [Shift]? It would make even more sense if Drag-n-Drop was the default mode. Pressing [Shift] to drag-select is an old, established and _expected_ convention, after all.
Every now and then, when I use "dn'd", only the video is draggedand the audio just stays there, so I do most of my editing using "cn'p".
That's bugworthy. Having a "lock" between a group of tracks, like the audio and the video, has been mentioned and requested before. IMHO, audio tracks should be locked to the video at import time. Staying in synch is the expected. However, there will be exceptions and dilemmas: What if a "locked" audio track is not "armed"? Cinelerra would have to show the user that there is a conflict, and give a hint about the solution, in a _very_ clear and obvious way. -- Herman Robak _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
