Hello Carol,

Why does everyone try to brand each other with crazy names? All that does is
divide people and cause hard feelings. Why not have a civilized discussion
with everyone trying their best to be polite to one another? Working together
we can accomplish a lot. There is probably not one person on this list who is
a legitimate breeder who condones puppymillers.

I would bet a majority of people on this list have their dogs registered with
AKC, and with CKCSC, USA. I know I do. And I enjoy showing my dogs in both
venues. So let's give everyone the benefit of the doubt that they are not out
to give a black eye to either organization.

With that said, a business that projects selling 65,000 to 85,000 dogs, if
they register the dogs with AKC, is probably a valued customer. If I
understand it correctly, the two top executives of AKC were planning to give
a speech to them and to the people who supply them with the dogs, on a day
celebrating the company's success? That sounds like they condone the
business. Happily, AKC executives listened to the protests of dog fanciers of
all different breeds, and have elected to postpone their speeches. Good for
us! We worked together on this one.

What will AKC elect to do in the future regarding this business and others
like it? Do we have any good solutions to suggest?
