Hi, Myra and List,
I've been reading a gazillion interesting posts on this subject about
ethics, law, rules and clubs. I think that this thread has been, for
once, very constructive.
As to law; I see restraint of trade as quite an issue. However, I'm
leaving that one alone.

I must say something about my own ethics here; about a year or two ago
I wrote a letter to the BOD of CKCSC, USA clearly stating that though I
don't want to be in violation of the Code of Ethics, I would, when the
time came, breed to an AKC-only dog should there be a *compelling*
reason.
What will you all do when it stops being theoretical? The time is VERY
close. Those original dogs are getting older now and less fertile. I
feel as though my letter to the BOD stated clearly where there were
parts of the Code of Ethics to which I could not be bound to adhere.
When you are presented with a decision to breed that wonderful old dog
who has been heart clear forever and whose lines go back to the dog of
your dreams.....what will YOU do?

I know what I will do, and have so stated. May the GODS forgive me.
