Hi Laura & List,

Well, they could do their homework - they could have a good eye, and be a
real breeder. Each person is an individual, and could certainly do
justice to this breed or any other, if they took the time and energy to
learn the standard and feel out the nuances of the breed. They wouldn't
HAVE to attend the CKCSC shows. However, this said, it certainly would
make it easier and more fun to have the opportunity to show at the CKCSC
specialties and take advantage of breeder judges' opinions.

So with this in mind, IF the CKCSC is truly an organization dedicated to
the betterment and protection of the breed, that organization should
immediately recognize the AKC registered dogs, and welcome all those
involved in the breed to their shows.

It wasn't just the twelve people who started the ACKCSC that suffered the
consequences of the CKCSC's decision to suspend them. Their were a lot of
us who gave up our membership to support those twelve and stand up for our
ethics and moral values. I miss the good old days very much, but could not
in my conscience, justify remaining a member of the CKCSC after the
sanctioning of the board members of the ACKCSC. I always found it
hypocritical of the CKCSC board to sanction just the board members (and
oddly enough, Lamont Yoder, not a board member, but membership chair) and
not the original charter members as well. How many breeders would have
been left in the CKCSC if they had done that. In my mind, all of us
charter members were just as "guilty" (NOT!) of the charges brought
against the original board.

It is definitely time to repair the past and move forward.
