Janet, I am sorry for the losses that you have suffered. Perhaps you didn't
realize from reading Vicky's post that the woman who broke the major was
indeed, present at the show and did it intentionally to prevent Vicky's dog
from winning the major. That is very different from missing shows because
of family tragedies. While it is very true that dogs and dog shows are
very, very minor events when compared to deaths in the family or the
horrific events of this past week, it is also true that the L list is a dog
list and in it, we share thoughts and stories about our dogs. I am sorry
that you have had deaths in your family and I am upset by the tragedy in New
York City. But, I read the L list to escape from those horrific things and
it is nice sometimes to be able to focus for a while on one of those minor,
non-life changing things like dog showing. Myra Savant
