If you exclude shows where something like breaking a major is not possible
(way too many or too few dogs), this is quite common.  It has probably
happened to most of us at one time or another.

It happens even more often at 1 pointer shows.  The same dog wins 2 days in
a row and no one shows up the next or last day so the dog can't get any more
points.

There are quite a few exhibitors to whom winning is so important that they
seem to actually enjoy destroying others chances if they don't win
themselves--you have to wonder why.
