In the c-sections I've had to deal with over the years, very little after-care
was required.  Just check the stitches several times a day to make sure they're
still there and not getting infected.
BTW I never leave a bitch at the vet's overnight after a section.  They have
nobody there to monitor her during the wee hours but I can sit up with her.
