I had all three x-rayed and we knew the position of the puppies. I watched the bitches for a couple of days trying to go into labor with no success. They would look at me as if to say I know something should be happening but what is wrong. I had two of the c-sections by my regular vet with no problems at all. Puppies were fine. Mother accepted them as soon as they were awake. The 3rd c-section was a totally different story. I have posted to the list about the death of my Susie following a c-section by an emergency clinic. I hope I never have to go to an emergency clinic for a c-section again. I feel very strongly that my Susie would still be with me if I had not used the emergency clinic. I am in the process now trying to find a regular vet who will be on call if needed. There is one in our town that says he will provide 24 hour emergency care. I would watch your girl like a hawk when you think her time is near. Keep a close eye on temperature and make lots of notes in case you need them. If I had not been watching temperature with my second c-section I might have missed the fact that she was in trouble and couldn't go into labor but when her temperature dropped to 97 I knew I needed to take action. I was lucky it was 5:30 in the morning and I called my vet to let her know that I had a problem and I needed to be seen as soon as possible. If you have a c-section keep a close eye on her and don't assume if she is on antibiotics that they will take care of any problems. I will never assume everything is okay again. If I am concerned about anything I will call to have it checked out. I learned the hard way you can't be too careful!! Good luck with your girl and let us know how it goes. Carolyn Adams Lewiswood Cavaliers Our Susie puppies are doing so well. They bring us such joy. Hope everyone has a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. > ========================================================= > "Magic Commands": > to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL > to start it up gain click here: > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL > > E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance. > Search the Archives... http://apple.ease.lsoft.com/archives/ckcs-l.html > > All e-mail sent through CKCS-L is Copyright 1999 by its original author. > ========================================================= "Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
