I guess I just look at this as a "given"? My difficulty is convincing
pet buyers that because I DO test doesn't mean that their pup won't get
ill. :-((. To me, advertising "healthy" isn't the same as saying "of
course I test". Unfortunately, "all I can do" is not much in terms of a
polygenetic disorder. I can never guarantee a pup's health anymore than
I could guarantee that my children would be healthy. I sure do wish I
could do more for both kids and dogs.
And, one thing I wanted to add; we Cavalier breeders talk a lot about
MVD as we should.......but there are few breeds of dogs with fewer
problems than ours if I am correct? If I were to ask a golden breeder
about cancer for instance......
