Hi List- I am very curious about the following from other breeders..I do know what the suggested MVD breeding parameters are (clear over age five and/or parents clear over age 5, in simple terms), and I also know that there are Sires bred that have been clear after five, but had grade1-2-3-whatever murmurs when used at age 6-7-8-9-whatever...now my question is, would you use a bitch who was clear after age 5, but grade 1-2-3-whatever at age 6-7-whatever...obviously not too old, as it becomes a different health issue at that point... If you are uncomfortable answering on the list ( steadfast lurkers, this means you!) I will gladly accept private answers with a promise not to reprint/devulge in any way the answers. I really am curious about this, as it's not been brought up as far as I can see, and isn't addressed in the heart congress proceesings...(well, actually, it was addressed, and the speaker said that beyond the age five parameter, it was up to the individual breeder-so, all ye individual breeders...?)
