Don't feel gulity when they give you that "See how pathetic I look when I'm
starving." It's a gimmick all dogs learn regardless of breed <G> When Disney (the
Golden) needs to lose weight before an agility trial I will feed him 2 cups per
day divided in 2 meals with all of his supplements to keep the coat looking great
for the breed ring. This is a 70 (for agility) to 72 (for breed ring) pound
Golden. You can give fillers like canned greenbeans or pumpkin. As a pup I kept
him very thin due to the fact that had he become dysplastic I knew I'd would
forever wonder was it genetics or undue stress on the joints from being
overweight.
