There is another problem with the laminate flooring that you may want to consider. It is quite smooth and is a hardship on some older dogs. I put it in my kitchen, bath & hall four years ago and one of my very old dogs had a serious problem keeping on his feet. Consequently, I put down a lot of throw rugs, which sort of defeats the purpose of having the laminate. Otherwise, it's a dream. Cindy Koehring
