You are so right.  One cannot breed against physics without losing
efficiency and fluid movement.

Those who think Cavaliers should move *parallel* should try doing the
following.

Run at a leisurely pace for about 15 feet naturally.  Stop.  Run 15 feet
being careful to keep your feet directly below your hips--in other words
parallel.

Then say which is correct.  Physics works the same in all creatures.
