I believe that as long as the Cavalier fancy places more emphasis on "type"
(personally I cannot separate structure and movement from type), meaning
head, markings, furnishings, tail carriage, etc., and think of this breed as
a "toy" rather than a small sporting dog, movement will not be important.
However, knowing that there is at least one member on the Board that comes
from working dog background, and is active in that breed's judge's education
processes, there may be very good chance that the standard will come up for
revision in the near future. Also, many of us "newbies" come from breeds
where movement is important and may press for such changes.  That's what so
wonderful about these lists, changes that used to take decades, now take
place in months.
