.............I too came upon this problem on returning to the US after six years in
Australia! Two members were willing to sponsor me, however, when it came to filling
out the forms a lot of the questions could not be answered truthfully. No, they had
not ".......visited my home & kennels!" and, although we conversed by email, they
probably never would due to geographic restrctions!

I started in cavaliers in 1985 in UK, I belong to the UK Club, the NSW
Club (Aus) and the CKCSC,USA. Have shown in all three countries now and , yes, I
consider myself a "worthy" candidate for membership VBG! .....but........I do find the
depth & number of the questions on the form to be somewht "deep". Tell me, does
anyone have the wherewithall to check that these forms are indeed filled out
correctly?! So, like Pam, I thought, I do not have to be a member to show AKC, so,
"why bother". Can anyone advise as to why these forms were made so?

I live and show in & around Denver, there are not many cavaliers, period,
never mind Club(ACKCSC) members. So, I am unable to meet members at shows. The
National Specialty is somewhat out of my reach, I will not fly!.......long way to
drive!!!!!!! It's a shame, but, there you have it.
