Susan, That makes a lot of sense to me! So, voting members need to be serious breeders and fanciers. I definitely agree with that. But, for newbies like me, we're talking about associate membership I think. If I remember correctly, an associate member doesn't have voting rights? The primary benefit to membership for me at this point would be having an opportunity to volunteer in just about any capacity I'd be allowed, and to receive the newsletter. Maybe there is a way that I can do that without being a member? Some years from now, when I've earned several notches on my cavalier belt, I'd want to apply for regular membership. But as an associate member applicant, what is the purpose of having two sponsors? Now, just in case I raised some eyebrows by mentioning a "cavalier belt," no, I don't believe anyone has made such a belt that is available on ebay. Fellow cavaholics, relax! ;-) And, I think my posts have resulted in the possibility that I might meet ACKCSC members that actually live *close* to me! Thank you to everyone who is helping me with this. Robin McLeod (and Teddy, fondly referred to as SnowDog) Minnesota __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
