Actually, it IS against the code of ethics for the ACKCSC.  This is what it
says:

  "To exercise every possible precaution as to the placement of puppies and
to sell puppies and /or older dogs only to homes where there is a reasonable
expectation of a healthy and happy life and never knowingly sell to
commercial dog wholesale or retail dealers or their agents."
