If we leave out the show records, the AKC is already doing this. They have now started the new *CHIC* (Canine Health Information Center) program. This program is set up excellently. They leave it up to each National Breed Club to come up with the requirements so they are tailored to each breed. The breed club is not only able to choose which tests should be required but can state exactly who will be allowed to perform the tests, how often, at what ages, etc. There are already 8 or 10 breeds signed up and some have already designed *protocols*. More can be found on this at www.caninehealthinfo.org . Can anyone tell me what ACKCSC's plans are for getting involved in this program?
