I was not insinuating. I was stating a personal opinion.

There are many societies in which I would not expect to have decision making
privileges.

I am a season ticket holder for the San Diego Opera season and I am vitally
interested in it's doing, but do not feel that this gives me the right to
make decisions for the opera organization. You might feel differently and
think that you are qualified to do so, but I doubt that the Opera Guild would
see it that way and allow you to make decisions for them.

I am an associate member of several breed clubs but since I am not involved
in showing or breeding the breed the club represents, I do not feel I should
be making decisions concerning it. This should be done by those who will be
affected by the decisions. I belong in order to receive newsletters and
information about the doings of the organizations that represent the breeds
in which I have an interest.

This is what, in my opinion, you and other purely pet cavalier owners should
be doing. You should not be making decisions about the arenas in which you
do not participate.
An associate membership would afford you the ability to follow the doings of
the club and even volunteering when the occasion arose. I do not understand
why anyone would be so determined to have a say about something in which they
have just a minimal background and participation.
