"The fact that our pet have the right to vote and our CODE OF ETHICS is 2
of the things that puts this CLUB heads above the rest!!!!!
Kathy Conrad"

Interesting statement especially about "the pets having a right to
vote"...but to go beyond that funny statement, I quess she has not witness
some of the "breeders" that had or who still have registration abilities
with this club...who had or have very questionable practices in this
breed...but their books were in order. What did or does the "code of
ethics" do to stop or limit them??? Yes...they are good on paper and in
theory...but there is not any absolutes but there are "gray areas".

And this type of PR is now being addressed by AKC franciers by being
instructed to bring people up on ethical charges who make these statements
implying that a dual registered dog is superior to the public...thus they
could lose their ability to show in AKC. I believe the letter from the
ACKCSC was posted on this list. You can read it for further clarification.

I must add...both venues have strengths and weaknesses...what I meant by
that was the CKCSC-USA versa AKC. Again to get back to the original
discussion, the ACKCSC is for those interested in the sport of dogs...if one
want to form an auxiliary organization for pet owners that would serve those
defined interest...they should do so!!! In organizational dynamics...you
cannot be cross purpose...this is what brought on the greatest division in
this breed in the USA and reinforces that feeling worldwide, that we are
viewed as "Ugly Americans". I quess we are a "soap opera society"...but I
am still proud to be a "yank".

Take care,
Kathy Yonkers
