At a COPS meeting last year, where there were representatives from the AKC parent club, I asked if they were following the CKCSC issue or had an interest in it. Their response was polite, but definitely that they weren't following it and had no real interest in the issue. Afterwards, I realized that it doesn't affect them. They are in the position of strength here, because the majority of CKCSC USA breeders are also AKC breeders. With a few notable exceptions, we are all AKC breeders/exhibitors. My dogs are already AKC dogs. I'm an AKC breeder. I'm an AKC exhibitor. The parent club for AKC has nothing to lose either way. CKCSC USA, however, may eventually lose their breeder base if they don't find a way out of this mess. Myra
