To offer a few statistics (can't give complete ones, have discarded some of my Gazettes); there were 1541 Cavaliers registered in the months of Feb, Mar, Ap, May & June - an average of 308 a month so one can ball park a figure of 2156 for the other 7 months, so a total in 2001 of 3697 registered with the AKC. It is higher this year as the breed continues to gain in popularity and command big prices, the month of February this year was up 15 from last year. No opinion, just stats.
