I'm not sure what you mean by people in the club having the upper hand. What I do know for a certainty is this: When people start talking about disobeying the rules because they don't feel they make sense and are designed to promote the well-being of the dogs...you have lost the upper hand. I don't know exactly what it is, but for sure the upper hand is held in place by loyalty and respect. There are a lot of dual registered breeders who do not feel the loyalty and respect for the old club that they once felt. This is not a position of strength. AKC has nothing to lose either way.
