I was just reading through today's posts and caught one that I had missed before. Hold the phone. You mean to tell me that there is a possibility that at some point the old club would allow breeders to breed to AKC only dogs if the dogs were fully tested and over a certain age?? BUT...I could go next door and use the 8 month old Irish puppy mill boy who is registered with CKCSC USA and there would be no age limit and no health testing requirement?? Lemme see....I could use Patty's gorgeous 7 year old heart clear English import, a Royal Scandal son, with the fabulous pedigree from a breeder in the UK who is known to have been testing her dogs for years and years...provided I could produce proof of his health testing to CKCSC USA....but If I am willing to settle for the 8 month old Irish Puppy Mill boy whose mom is Sweet Petunia, and whose Dad is Golden Poochy and who hasn't had so much as his temperature tested, the club would happily let me register those pups without question? (Well, only if the girl was a year old. Let's not forget that code of ethics) Oh my yes, folks. This is ALL about the dogs. Good grief. Surely we wouldn't agree to something that dumb? Please explain to me the reasoning behind that thought process. Please help me to understand the club ethics behind that idea. Myra
