Sounds like this was a pain the neck but fortunately you figured it out, Susan. I agree with your vet; don't like to spay or neuter early. I like to know that growth plates have closed prior to the surgery. My contract provides for liquidated damages, and this time I've sent a copy to each buyer well in advance and asked them if they had ANY problems with it as now was the time to tell me.
And, yes, Claudia, my contract specifically prohibits breeding. I'm sure I'll still get caught out some day. There is no perfect solution to this.
