I don't like to spay or neuter baby puppies. In fact, I'm not sure that
there are such substantial benefits to spaying and neutering at all.
However, I am mindful that in the U.S. we can't be too careful about
disreputable breeding. I ask my buyers not to spay or neuter before one
year old; or whenever the vet can tell them that the growth plates have
closed.

I have seen conflicting data about health benefits both ways; but many
of the studies that have come out in favor of spaying and/or neutering
have been funded by sources with an investment in diminishing the number
of unwanted dogs. Obviously this is everyone's concern, yet I do think
some of the studies are skewed.....
